gi_cookie_consent_v1 is a first-party localStorage entry containing only accepted or rejected. It remembers your choice across pages and visits in this browser and origin. It does not contain your name, email or a visitor identifier. There is no automatic expiry: it remains until changed or cleared by you or your browser. It is used to preserve your preference without requiring optional analytics consent.

Google Analytics 4 · optional analytics

After acceptance on the production hostname, Google Analytics may set analytics identifiers and process usage events. The exact Google cookie set may change; this notice does not claim a fixed verified inventory or expiry. See Google’s cookie information and privacy information. Retention follows the configured service settings.

Before and after acceptance

Before a choice, or after rejection, no Google Analytics script is loaded and no analytics request is sent by the website. After acceptance, analytics may initialize only on gi-doo.com or www.gi-doo.com. Staging does not initialize analytics, regardless of your saved choice. The consent system uses basic blocking, not pre-consent cookieless analytics pings. Advertising storage, ad user data and advertising personalization remain denied.

Change or withdraw consent

Open Cookie settings and select Reject analytics to withdraw. The saved preference is updated and Google Analytics is disabled. If its tag has already been initialized on this page, the page reloads to remove the loaded tag and continue with analytics blocked. The control also attempts to remove readable first-party Google Analytics cookies. It cannot retroactively erase data already transmitted to Google. To grant consent again, use the same settings control and choose Accept analytics.

Browser limitations

Preferences apply to this browser and origin, not every device you use. If localStorage is blocked, the choice can apply only to the current page and you may be asked again on later pages or visits. If JavaScript is disabled, Google Analytics does not initialize and the interactive settings control is unavailable. You can also manage storage through your browser settings. Clearing the preference causes the choice banner to appear again.
